Long time no see and we finally meet again. Sorry I've abandoned you guys for some time. Time flies, and we're now slowly approaching twentyELEVEN and i thought I had to blog about my 4day Korean experience before the new year.
December 1-4th was so much fun. Met the idols, caught glimpses of THE MAN, fanmeetings one after another plus the long-awaited MNET Concert. The whole experience was definitely once in a lifetime, and I'm glad that i attended all the events there were, coz that period served as a little break for me. Something much needed before the start of dreadful sem2.
This post would definitely be a LONGGGG one, but just spare 10mins of your life to check out the pictures and lines below kayy! Definitely worth reading! Hot guys, awesome fan-accounts and hell loads of memories.
Day 1 (Dec 1st)
Kim Hyun Joong's arrival in Singapore, for the first time.
Met waisynn and her friend at airport. and we were quite early actually. Joined the oher KHJ fans outside the barrier and gate entry to wait for THE MAN! We were so excited, we kept smiling and fangirl-ing all the way till 9plus. At 9plus, the plane ARRIVED! KE641! ((= Status: LANDED!
AHHHHHHH. It was so suspenseful! And my heart kept pounding! AHHHHHH! There were so many fan clubs waiting at the barricades too, all dressed in black or green! After an hour of waiting, KHJ came out of the gate. All CUTE and CHARISMATIC! His smile is to die for, and he took some fan gifts on the way out. I took a video of the entire walk-out, but have yet to upload it anywhere! hahaha. KHJ walked SO FAST, it wa like a ZOOOM past us in 2seconds. I think he was too traumatised after the China incident of the fans groping and chasing him all the way to his car. He wore his grey outfit with the black beanie that made him look oh-so-cute!
My heart skipped a beat okay! To be able to see the MAN OF MY DREAMS right in front of me, albeit the short 2 seconds, was a dream come true. Just seeing his flawless face and masculine boy build ws enough to keep me smiling for the rest of the night.

Dec 1st was also the day my uncle was heading back to Canada, so while waiting for his departure, I managed to welcome Kwonnie (leader of 2am!) too! Kwonnie was so cute! Eventhough he touched down at 12plus 1am, there were quite a number of fans gathered at the gate entrance. He smiled at everyone, and of course as usual waved. (TO ME TOO!!!) hehehe! Again, video-ed his arrival. ((=

Day 2 (December 2nd)
2AM Fanmeeting cum Meet-And-Greet!
So Lyn, Saki's sister and I met at IMM rooftop garden for the 2AM Fanmeeting! All we had to do was buy the new album, Saint O Clock and depending on our luck, get either a Gold or Silver ticket. So I got a GOLDEN ticket, which enabled me to go on stage and get autographs from all 4 boys. 2AM is my favourite ballad group and they really hae power vocals, all 4 of them. Though there were many articles saying that they cannot dance, trust me, they can. Check out their solo concert videos and you'll know why!
So, my turn came to go on stage and I swear the security was so tight and irritating. Even before i reached the table where the boys were at, the security guy just grabbed my album and flung it over. I was quite pissed at their paranoid behaviour, but nonetheless.. So first up was Im Seul Ong. ((= He is so gorgeous up close! Skin not so flawless, but he was really good-looking! I'd say better in real life than on TV. Since I had some time there, I said, "Oppa Fighting! Saranghae!" (Initially i learnt a few korean phrases from Hyojin unni the other time, but i was too tongue-tied on stage i didnt say out ANY of the phrases. plus there was so skinship, not even a handshake.. so what more me asking for a hug right?) Seulong was so cute, he looked at me, smiled and gestured while saying, "Kamsahamnida, fighting!". So i was all smiles then when suddenly the security guy pushed me! An I just flew all the way to Kwonnie, totally skipping the 2nd guy. WTF?!?! Changmin was the 2nd guy, and i just skipped him.. security was being a bitch coz my CD was still with Seulong and they had already pushed me to the 3rd guy. -__-''' Recovering from the hard push, Kwonnie looked up at me when i "landed" in front of him. All i said was, "HELLO!" and waving with my both hands. Kwonnie was so cute, he started immitating me, and did the same thing! SUPER CUTE. I almost screamed, but i controlled. hhha! ((= Kwonnie is so fair! The fairest of all the guys, the smallest, and the shortest. But his talents are as wide as all ocean combined. Last was Jinwoonie. Jinwoon is the same age as me, and he was too busy signing all the accumulated CDs in front of him.. he rarely looked up at the fans actually.. but then when it was my turn, he looked up, smiled, and said HELLO! while signing my CD. ((= SUPER LUCKY RIGHT! I gotta say he's really yellow-skinned in real life. I loved Seulong Oppa's tanned skin, the most awesome tan i've ever seen up close.
So that was my experience meeting the boys! They were all so cute, and spontaneous, they sang LIKE CRAZY live on stage for everyone! I love 2AM!

Day 3 (3rd December)
KHJ Fanmeeting, 2PM Fanmeeting
I woke up really early to go queue for the KHJ Fanmeeting. We had to spend 100buck at TFS and then we were given an entry pass to the event. I was so excited to see KHJ again! And waisynn, cassandra and I were super excited, just thinking about us seeing him in person about 5-10m away from us!
Yeahh, we were right behind the 2nd yellow barricade. And it was a pretty good sight from there. Not too far, not too near. At 11.15am there about, KHJ appeared on Stage, with a Jippa like outfit. Long white inner and black vest. He claims that Singapore is very hot and wants to wear light colours as much as possible! hahaha,he looked a little tired and sleepy on stage, and we could see his eye bags from afar. I felt quite sad to see him in this state, so busy with his schedule and TFS Asia tour. But, he tried his best to smile whenever he could, and the milion-dollar smile melted away all my sleepiness and angst, and I WAS ALL SMILES the entire day((=
The translator was really good, i think she's a Korean who has been residing her for some time already.. And she translated almost everything KHJ said. KHJ opened a few presents on stage, which included a lion plushie that was given to him by one of the fan-clubs. Then there was auction for his autographed standees. 2 in total. Price strted at 150bucks, but it went up and up and up all the way to 5000. then 6000. and the first one stopped at 6060, while the other one stopped at 6686 singapore doallrs. 6686 = KHJ's birthdate. How significant eh? At that time he was telling the translator, that he doesnt deserve this high price. I love his humbleness and modesty, and the fact that though he is one of the highest salary-takers in Korea, he lives a simple life. Throughout his stay in Asia, he often ate only Kimbap and Bibimba and Deokbukki, the food that normal koreans eat on a daily basis, instead of the high-end cuisines offered to him.
Whenever KHJ spoke, we felt his sexiness and special soft vibe. When there was a 5min break in between, he was seen humming and singing his songs off stage, after make up touchups. KHJ certainly has that charm no one else has!
Stopped to drink water during the autograph session. Those lucky 120people who got the autographed poster from KHJ himself! *jealous! But it's okay, he will be coming back next year with a solo concert to promote his album and then go back to join the rest in SS501 to come up wth their ALBUM! Im so excited for that! Seriously! ((= I LOVE SS501. They're my first bias, no matter what. Though fanmeting with KHJ lasted for only 1.5hours or so, it was an awesome time, gathered with other KHJ fans and just looking at our idol from afar. <3 All worth it!
At night, I met Lyn at IMM again for 2PM's Fanmeeting! Though we didnt get to meet the boys on stage, seeing them from afar was good enough.
They all came on time, 8pm. All of them were dressed so wonderfully despite the rainy-sunny weather. Taek was the most casual, with his shirt and jeans. Junsu took the most efforrt in dressing up, even wearing his hat! I love Junsu for his humourous side and powel vocals. Chansung was dressed in an outfit similar to that of KHJ's in the morning. Khunnie came with specs and hat that somehow made his face look smaller! Junho and wooyoung were being themselves, like always.
They are really quirky guys! But one thing i hated about the fanmeet was that the fans were too rowdy nd loud, they kept screaming out for their loved one on stage at almost every instance. We could hardly hear them talk, nor the translator's speech. It was, i must say, the worst fanmeeting ever because of the ruined atmospere the fans created. They all held really big posters and banners, while Lyn and I had nothing in our hands. hahaha!
They staye for a rightful half hour only and then left after singing a little of ILL BE BACK. Nonetheless, we were going to see them aat the MNET concert the next day!
Day 4 (December 4th)
MNET ULTIMATE CONCERT! at Marina Bay Sands.
MBS is a little nostalgic for Lyn and I coz we went to meet LeeMinHo the last time there. This time, it was for a large-scale korean concert featuring 5 groups, MBLAQ, MissA, 2AM, Beast and 2PM.
Had to reach MBS by 7am to colour tag our tickets, and then return back at 1.30pm for the actual queueing. Met new friends along the way and we all went for the concert together. Met Hyojin unni at the side of the stage before the concert. She was the back stage coordinator, so she kinda met every one of the artists performing that night!
MBLAQ opened the night with their performances including Y and One Better Day. I'm not exactly a MBLAQ fan, i dont even know the members.. so i didnt care much about their act. Photos were limited too.
MissA came up next! I was so disappointed that Suzy didnt come. she's the prettiest of them all and i really wanted to see her in real life, but NOOO. Jia and Fei were SO SKINNY i swear and Min is, obviously really short.
Good girl Bad Girl and Breathe are their famous hit songs, and they also danced to some chinese songs that I have no clue about. Just as they exited off the stage, my heart started pounding hard! IT WAS TIME FOR 2AM!
Curtains dropped, and lights came on! They sang their hearts out for EVEN IF YOU DIE I WONT LET YOU GO, and YOU WOULDNT EVEN ANSWER MY PHONECALLS. They're so awesome i swear, perfect vocals and right attitude for every song. Managed to get A LOT of shots of the members coz they were quite still, unlike the others who kept jumping around. Kwonnie didnt forget to show us his khapkwon-ness and Seulong was being such a gentleman, waving at us!
They gave out 4 tedd bears to a certain 4 people at the other side of the stage. How i wished i got one of them! The ended off their act with I DID WRONG, dancing with the backup dancers.
After the soulful performance by 2AM, BEAST came on! BEAST is one group to really envy coz they took a flight to singapore just early morning that day. Touched down, they cae straight for rehearsal. Then they dressed up, performed and left immediately for Korea for some rehearsal. Talk about hectic! It was such a sight seeing the good-looking guys just in front of us, and no doubt they performed SHOCK, SOOM, BEAUTIFUL and OASIS and BAD GIRL! All of my favourite songs i play on my ipod on the way to school.

They also stopped along the aisle (where i wa standing) for some shots and shook the hands of fans.

THEN THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! 2 PEE AMMMMM!
Ta-da.... and they came out all so majestic and confident.
They sang and danced and talked for an hour plus? They had the most time out of all the groups and also performed the best on stage, i felt!
In the midst, they were sweating so much that they stripped outta their outer clothings.. to their basic tank top and pants. I was actualy quite taken aback when Junsu started speaking in english. It seems he stayed in singapore for some time a few years ago before moving back to Korea. Chansung came with his tied hair and Nickhun was angelic the whole time.
Talk about ANGELS! They all wore wings and distributed candy and flowers to some of the fans. Taekyeon "chose" me and smiled and made eye contact before throwing a lollipop in my direction. He was kneeling down on the aisle and my heart skipped a beat when our eyes met! Unfortunately the lollipop landed too front for me, so i coudlnt get it, but the fact that he "chose" me out of the other girls around me was rather satisfying already! Fan-service FTW! Later on, while singing I CAN'T, Taekyeon went to kiss a girl's hand, which made eeryone SUPER jealous!
This is JUNSU! (up!) He was so cute! During GIMME THE LIGHT, they all walked down the aisle nearer to us. They were supposed to have a staight face while they sang. When Junsu looked at me, like straight into my eyes, I cheered for him! And then he coulnt help but smile a little, before giving a straight face again. SUPER CUTE!!!
2PM really knows how to pump up the energy in the crowd. singing their hit songs I HATE YOU and ILL BE BACK and WITHOUT U... the atmosphere was just awwesome! not to mention, they changed outfits in a flash quite a few times.
Hehe, and then MNET coneert came to an end! It was ALL WORTH IT to pay 170plus for a concert like this. I really really loved how Taek and Junsu looked into my eyes, and how BEAST was so dedicated enough to sing their hearts out even though they had no rest for the past few days. Meeting 2AM that day and seeing them again on stage was refreshing!
Oh yes, from 9am to 1.30pm before the concert, we wandered about at the MBS hotel side, and Seulong walked past Lyn and I in his tracksuit and hoodie. Lyn was jumping up and down in excitement seeing him walk past us! I was rather calm, coz i've already met him on stage! I must say, without make up, they still look so fresh and good-looking.
And that's how the 4 days flew, and soon it was december 5th. My Korean Experience was really an unforgettable one, and something i can boast about when i look back at 2010.
2010 has been a year of ups and down for me, with work at prudential, uni semester 1, the stress, the hapiness, the relationships, the fun times, the angst, the emo-ness. All of it.
I hope 2011 would be a fantabulous year! And oh, did i mention, come January 10th, I'm turning into a mugger. For the sake of my life. ((=
